A milestone-based wedding timeline

Why a ten-day notice is not a ten-day package
The ordinary publication period is one part of the process. It does not account for document preparation, appointment availability, travel days or ceremony scheduling. Ask the registrar how the notice period applies to your accepted application. Lawful exceptions require an actual legal basis and should never be assumed from an express-planning advertisement.
Build a travel calendar with three labels
Mark dates as requested, provisional or confirmed. Put your arrival before any attendance requirement with enough room for ordinary travel disruption. Add the civil ceremony only after the relevant dependencies are understood. Arrange a honeymoon around the official plan and review cancellation conditions before paying suppliers.
Arrange follow-up before returning home
Ask who handles registration transmission, what reference details you should retain and how certificate enquiries will be followed up. The Family Code gives the solemnizing officer a registration-transmission duty; that deadline is not a promise of immediate PSA certificate delivery. Your package quotation should identify any follow-up assistance and separate delivery charges.
