Bring the accepted Canadian packet
Ask whether the office needs the statement in lieu, your statutory declaration and supporting records together. Check originals, copies and local forms for both partners. Keep a list of any outstanding conditions and the official who can answer follow-up questions.
Build your schedule around official milestones
For an ordinary license application, Philippine law provides for a public notice period of ten consecutive days. Confirm when the office regards your application as properly filed. Do not count courier transit or consular preparation as part of that notice period. Allow room for actual license issuance and officer availability.
Review the ceremony arrangements together
After the license is available, verify its issue and expiry dates and check that the planned ceremony falls within the validity window. Confirm personal attendance, two adult witnesses and the authorized officer. Your coordinator can handle supplier arrangements around the confirmed official plan.
